Corn Bread

1 cup flour
¾ cup corn meal
¼ cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt

1 egg
¼ cup veg oil
1 cup milk
2 tbs melted butter


Loaf Pan Method
Preheat oven at 400
Grease a small loaf pan

Cast-Iron Skillet Method
Grease an 8 or 10 inch skillet
Place in oven
Preheat oven to 450


Beat egg in small bowl
Mix in oil, milk and butter

Sift together flour, corn meal,
baking powder, salt & sugar
in a large bowl
Add liquid mixture
Stir just until mixed


Loaf Pan Method
Place in loaf pan.
Bake at 400 oven for 20 - 25 minutes.

Cast-Iron Skillet Method
Place in skillet.
Bake at 450 oven for 18 -20 minutes.


Serve warm with butter and/or real maple syrup.
